Third place: $200.00
Cash prizes will be divided amongst

Students are invited to work individually or in teams, and may submit more than one entry as long as they are in separate categories.
All entries should be firmly mounted on card, bristol board or foamcore. Boards
must be no larger than 11” x 17” in size and can be laid out vertically or horizontally.
Entries can include a maximum of three boards. Models should be photographed
and the photographs included on the boards. Do not send models. All written material must be included on the FRONT of the boards. The entrant’s name, school, category and level should be clearly labeled on the BACK of each board. Boards should be bundled together (tied, wrapped or placed in a large envelope), separate from other student entries. The completed entry form should be clipped or stapled to the front of the package. Do not glue or tape the entry form to the board or to the envelope that contains the boards. Do not attach the boards together in any manner. Schools sending bulk submissions may package all entries in one large envelope, but each entry should be clearly labeled and complete.
Entries become the property of Design Exchange and will not be returned. Students are encouraged to submit quality copies of work and keep originals. Students are encouraged to photograph completed boards for their portfolio. Design Exchange is unable to confirm that the submission has been received. Please track your package to confirm it has arrived at Design Exchange.

Graphic design: Album cover
Since the main area of interest to students in my class would be Graphic Design, you are welcome to explore the other categories for consideration on the DX website
Challenge: Re-design the front cover of your favourite musical album. The cover
design should be contemporary, unique and exciting, while conveying the tone
and style of its content. Your design must indicate the album’s artist and title.
Consider the various sizes at which your design will be seen (e.g. 4.75" x 4.75" on
a CD cover, 12" x 12" on an LP cover, 1.5" x 1.5" in iTunes, etc.).
Submissions should include artwork (hand or computer-generated) and a short
paragraph that details the design process. Any photographs used in your design
must be clearly credited to their creator(s) on your board.
