MACRO and TEXTURE PHOTOS TIPS
I find that when I do close-up or macro photography I get lost in this small world of intimate details. When you look through the viewfinder, try and visualize it as a small world or a small landscape scene. Pretty soon you will find that you will be totally swept up in it and that is the fun part. Show the viewer something they normally would not see with the naked eye. Macro is extreme close up of the object or subject you are viewing. Think of watches, jewelry, details not normally seen by your eye. Texture might be an macro or extreme close up of an object or subject that really showcases the roughness of the surface. Fabric, concrete, feathers, skin of fruit or plants, etc. When editing these shot you might need to crop to get close to what it is you are showing. You will also need to change your contrast and overall exposure to get darker shadow details to increase the impact of what you are trying to show the viewer. Also, take extra of what you are shooting; better to have more than less and not able to re-create your subject and setting. |
