SCENE EXTRA
To Place your self into a scene of a movie or TV show. If you have a partner you both need to appear in the final video; together or separately. The original scene should be 30-60 seconds long. You will use the green screen to film yourself to be added to the scene. Planning is essential for this since you must film before 9:00 a.m. as not to interfere with the Daily Messenger show.

You and your partner (if you choose one) will watch scenes that you will appear in. When researching please use earphones so that you are not distracting others. Once you have decided on your idea work on the following:
- You will need to access a copy of the clip that you want to put yourself into.
- Create a storyboard based on the clip that you choose. This will help you plan the shots you need to accomplish this task. Only one will be required from your group for submission. Storyboard paper is in the yellow folder on my desk.
- You will need to make note of any lighting or other items that will match the scene.
- WARNING: Do not select a scene where there is camera movement, including zooms. This will only frustrate you in the end. It will be extremely difficult and challenging for you to match them to your placement of yourself. Better to pick a scene where the camera is on a tripod not moving at all.
- Costume or wardrobe is not essential for this, however if you choose to use wardrobe remember to stay away from green items.
- You and your partner will be your talent and camera person. No other students are to be included or help you.
- Record each shot in several takes. This will give you have various option to choose from when editing.
- Copy your clips and the original footage onto both members computers for editing.
- Your edited video is to be 30 - 60 seconds.
- Add titles.
- Add credits for the original footage plus yourselves at the end.
